Yokohama Kokusai Hanabi Taikai (Yokohama International Fireworks Show)
July 17th; it was pretty awesome. And I realize that just a bunch of pictures of fireworks might be boring, but I thought it was sweet. And I was there in person. Anyways...

Pretty much you just go to the huge waterfront park, bring tarps, and set up camp. We got there in the afternoon to get a pretty good spot. The park was enormous, probably thousands of people there. |

This stupid orange train car sculpture was right behind us. I don't know what it's for, I guess it's art. |

Maybe I don't watch a lot of fireworks in the US, but I'm always amazed when they have these sideways Saturn-looking things. They're pretty awesome. |

It's a freakin' strawberry!! Also they had like a cat, but I didn't get a picture. Pretty amazing to see them make shapes like this though. They had a few of them, but only this one I think was pointed in the right direction with the stem pointed up.

Oh yeah, that reminds me, Aki met up with us there, and he brought some kind of monster. Me and Brian were expecting 1 or more mega-hot supermodel-quality girls, cause it's Aki, but he just brought one super annoying land monster. |
