Random events in my life in Japan, from January to March 2007.
Actually, these are mostly of the Tokyo Auto Salon.

Tokyo Auto Salon pictures start here (Jan 14, 2007)

I will never claim to know a lot about cars. But what I do know is that this show was absolutely ridiculous with tons of sweet cars all over the place. I like shiny things.

Toyota car with those weird flip-up doors like in Back to the Future.

Yoshitaka Amano, who does a lot of anime and video game-related artwork designed these racecar paint jobs for Team Bomex.

I'm pretty sure the crowd of nerds on the other side of this white curtain was there to take photos of Bryan as he waved to them. I'm sure it didn't have anything to do with the booth babe models in front of the cars.

If I could get ahold of a sweet jacket like this, I would probably wear it all the time. Beep beep.

Hell yes an inflatable cartoon spark plug man.

The king of cars, KiT.

Some sweet looking car.

THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO NEED TO HAVE THIS MANY MONITORS IN YOUR STUPID S.U.V.!!!!

Booth babes on a BMW.

I could put a really obvious caption here since I can't say much about this car, but you might as well just look at it yourself.

Vroom vroom.

For some reason (since this is Japan), they had a stage show with a bunch of girls in short skirts dancing around and singing. I couldn't really make it out, but the chorus was either "Mango mango mango," or "Manko manko manko" (which would be a dirty way of saying vagina over and over in Japanese). I'm guessing it was neither. Check out the midget in the background also.

The weird thing about Japan is that walking into a shopping center in the early evening and encountering a man in a cartoon character costume like this is actually quite norma.

GET OUT OF MY WAY BRIAN!

World Hobby Fair pictures (January 21)

Sweet Mario keychains. I have a few of these now.

So many different colors of the PSP. Too bad the DS has sweeter games, is cheaper, and is easier to pirate on.

Mueller and Hoyt come to Tokyo (March 4)

Starting off things at The Lockup in Shibuya. The place is supposed to look like a jail cell or something.

I think this might have been just slightly before the "jail break" where monsters and stuff were running around the place. A few came to stab Mueller with plastic swords.

The Electric Shock; most foul drink to be served in an actual restaurant.

In the streets of Shibuya around 5AM. McDonalds breakfast always tastes better after all-night karaoke.
