Here is the mechanical bird that took me to HK.

Shortly after coming into the Arrival Lobby of HK airport, I spot the King. Haven't seen one of those in about a year.

The inside of the Airport train to the city was comparable to a Shinkansen; I was very impressed.

I also really liked the status meter-type thing that shows how much farther you are from the various stops. Gives you something to look at other than scenery or the weird travel ads on the LCD monitors on the front of the train car.

Derek posing in front of his company's free snacks and drinks. Seriously, it was like an unlimited supply of free food and drinks. I was quite jealous. That and they had a few nice TV studios in the building.

Lippo Building, I believe. If anything, it looks like it's made of Lego blocks or something.

First meal in Hong Kong; cha-siu rice and Pocari Sweat. And so cheap! God food in HK is the best.

Statue of a golden dragon.

I don't know which country started using the Pin-pon buttons first, but the one at Satay King definitely beat any ones I've seen in Japan. Individual buttons for Order, Water, Bill, Service, and Cancel. We need these in Japan.

Stuffed snails, white curry, and fried chicken wings. Satay King might be one of the greatest restaurants I've ever been to.

View from Derek's balcony. Fishing boats in the morning.

Dim-sum!

Do I look happy? I should, because it was amazing.

Derek was happy because he got rid of that evil alien black suit.

View from my hotel's elevator towards Temple Street. Definitely not a classy area, but at night it was pretty cool with tons of stalls and shops selling cheap counterfeit Rolexes and DVDs.

Temple Street later that night. Note how many tourists there are everywhere.

Roast chickens and ducks hanging up for sale. Super cheap as well.

This guy in the chicken suit caught me taking its picture and then came up to me trying to give me a flier. I thought he was going to try and fight me Peter Griffin style but luckily he didn't

Jackie Chan is pretty much the national hero and mascot of Hong Kong. And rightfully so.

Snake!

...soup. It was actually really good. Supposed to be good for you too.

I kept seeing this sign/ad all over the place in the subway stations. It's a PSA trying to remind you to hold on to the rails when you're riding the escalators.

Statue at the HK airport on my way out.
