What an artistic shot! Here we are at the Sanja Matsuri in Asakusa, May 20, 2007. This is a huge 3-day festival that is participated in by big yakuza families. Pretty awesome. |
The girl in the white was like a yakuza princess. At least we assume, because she was riding on the mikoshi and also was hot. |
More mikoshi action marching down the streets. |
Giant taiko drum. |
Super nerd photographers were even here at the festival, compete with the step-ladder, vest, and visor. Sweet look dude. |
Near-naked old yakuza guys showing off their tattoos. And their balance skills. |
They've gotta be high-ups... |
...and oh snap, he's pissed! Run! |
Mountain of garbage in Asakusa. Too many stalls selling too much cheap food. At least Japanese people are considerate enough to pile their garbage in mountains, rather than just throwing it anywhere. ...wait, what? |
If you are looking for a cheap copy of Jumanji on Laser Disc, you can find it in Akihabara. I'm sure you already have your copy though, right? |
Karaoke is even scarier when you can store your information, playlists, and even your picture on your cell phone or membership card. Get to the place, scan your phone, and your picture shows up on the remotes and TVs when it's your turn to sing. |
I made this poster for one of our Self-Study campaigns completely by hand, and I have to admit it's awesome. Check Test progress poster, made with different planets and stuff. |
Ah, it's good to get back to Y's! And this time we had a much fuller table. |
So many emotions. And weird faces. |
Angry....at something, I don't know. Not like we really had scabes to give the boot to this time. Good thing too, since Seth wasn't around this time to boot an entire table of them out. |
Isoroku finally showed up! He's like employed kind of sort of maybe what. |
This huge dragonfly got into my apartment one day. It was massive. What's the deal with Japanese insects? |
