The plane that took me to Korea.

It was a cool bus ride from the airport to my hotel. Immediately, I felt like I was out of Japan. I guess actually there are places in Japan that looked like this, but it felt so open and foreign.

Nothing can make me as excited as a giant LCD TV. And it was Korea, so of course it was a Samsung.

Seoul definitely had some cool buildings. These things that I first thought were cereal bowls are most likely satellites.

I hate you so much, Pe Yonjun.

Japanese police aren't the only ones who have stupid cartoon mascots. Is this supposed to be a monkey?

Namdaemung at night.

Got some random Korean guy to take this picture for me, and he could actually speak some Japanese. I'm sure he told his friends that he met a Japanese tourist.

Why bother going to a whole Mart when you can just go to a Store.

I guess this building kind of looks like a M? Or the head of a giant robot.

Gyeongbok Palace's first gate. I didn't realize just how massive the complex would be once I got past this first gate.

And the first gate was also guarded by a parade of Power Rangers-colored Kung Lao-hat wearing guards. The guy in the front looks pissed.

Lined up.

I tried finding an American tourist to take this picture for me, but it ended up being a German woman. Going on vacation by yourself is fun, but it's tough to get pictures of you.

Statues for the Chinese Zodiac animals. This whole little display was way sweet. If I ever get a big house with a garden I think I'll build something like this.

This is the creepiest display model I've ever seen. It was a museum display about how Koreans started making kimchee.

Kimchee museum.

Sweet pagoda island thing within the Gyeongbok grounds.

Auto-timer!

The coolest Construction/Do Not Enter sign I've ever seen. I think he's supposed to be a cow, but who cares since he's so scared.

Korean Qoo, and it even came in a squirt bottle. The machine was massive and played a song every time someone bought a drink.

Bibimbop! I love how every Korean meal came with like 10 kinds of kimchee and other side dishes.

Something seems fishy about the name of this place. I wasn't brave enough to go inside to find out what kind of establishment it is.

My dinner the last night of Seoul. This huge yakiniku/sukiyaki hybrid with rice and tons of little side dishes was less than 15 bucks!
