Despite all the stories last semester from the rest of the A-Team, I had never actually been to Namjatown, home of Gyoza Stadium and Ice Cream City. I finally went with Nick and Brian, and it is truly the greatest place on the planet (albeit expensive). |
Most likely one of the happiest moments in Japan...no, in my life. Me and the Mayor of Namjatown, nya. |
Nick was trying to keep it inside, but you know secretly he is giggling like a school girl getting to enter the magical land full of gyoza. And also the mayor is gold and sweet. |
Second gyoza stand we hit up; they specialized in shiso (beefsteak leaf) gyoza, and gave you some kind of cup of cold sauce for the gyoza. They were way good. |
Best gyoza I have ever eaten, at the Okinawan place. I now want to go to Okinawa just to eat gyoza. Either that or I'll just go back to Namjatown one day. |
After Gyoza Stadium and Ice Cream City, I had to hit up the Cream Puff Town just to say I went to every zone here in the Golden Saucer (er, I mean Namjatown). I ordered 1 stupid cream puff and they packed it in a huge box and then like 20 layers of bags. Thus, the funny face. It was a good cream puff though. |
KABUKICHO, the shadiest part of Japan. We pretty much went there to just play in arcades, and I won a giant Frog Style stuffed animal. |
Oh man, on the way home on the trains, for the second day in a row, I got pretty much assaulted/molested on the train by sleeping salarymen. This guy camped out in front of me, swung his junk in my face, and did like a tornado spin at one point to smack me in the face with his jacket. He should be glad I didnt kick his lights out. |
At the giant 100 yen shop in Harajuku, Brian lets out his inner geisha. And by geisha, I might mean homo. |
Me in front of Meiji Shrine. We walked around a lot of it; the place is a lot huger than just the main courtyard and temple. |
Better shot of the inside courtyard and main temple. Notice the skyscraper in the background. |
Me, Yuj, Mii, and Karen. |
Classic Y's-type picture. I don't know that that white-bluish light is up there in the corner, but Brian tells me that it's probably Ari's soul going out to fight people. Or something. |
Here's a rare occurance; I have the most normal face in the picture! I don't think that's ever happened before! |
Seth had a bit too much Nikka I think. Either that or he drank some of Brian's death juice. Either way, he ended up laying outside the Techno Garden and saying some stuff that will just add to him getting killed. |
Nick "keepin it real" outside of the Techno Garden. His last night in Tokyo, I think it was a good one. |
